ECHO MK II

Clearly inspired by the classic lines of the Telecaster guitar, but refined and "modernized" for the 21st Century. Giving a more dynamic, curvy and slightly more aggressive look.

It features a single handwound pickup made by Armstrong Pickups at the Stingray sweet spot, which delivers all the growl you would expect for a Ray but with passive electronics. Also, There is an a (CTS) push pull pot fitted as standard to split the pickup for more tonal variety.

This model features a 32" medium scale, which in my opinion offers all the benefits of a standard scale (34") with the added benefit of being a little more comfortable (for both reach and stretching). This slightly shorter scale also ensures the bass balances well on the strap.

Manton Customs Echo MK II Ebony Medium Scale Tele Bass (3).jpeg

This is my Echo MK II shape - a sort of modern less traditional version of a tele bass. It features a luxurious Ebony top on a 1 piece English Ash body with a ceruse finish. So the whole bass has a bit of a black and white colour theme.

The pickup is hand wound by Armstrong pickups to deliver a MM Stingray type sound except from a passive bass. It is housed inside an Ebony cover made in my workshop.

The neck and pickguard are some beautiful flamed Maple I imported from America around 5 years ago.

Chrome Gotoh hardware throughout gives the classic black and chrome look and pops nicely against the Ebony top.

Please remember, any of our models can be specified with a different number of strings, scale length, frets, pickups or anything else for that matter! Also we offer the option for you to design your very own unique guitar or bass with your own body shape and specifications.
