My Echo MKI model is usually all about classic Tele styling, however this guitar has been specified with a bunch of Gibson features.

My Echo MKI model is usually all about classic Tele styling, however this guitar has been specified with a bunch of Gibson features. These include the scale length, neck dimensions, set neck construction, HH pickups and bridge/tail piece.
The guitar features only two woods, but these are very special! Both the fretboard and 1/4 sawn neck are made from ancient Bog Oak which has been carbon dated to 2500bc. The body top is also ancient Bogoak sourced from East Anglia.

The main body wood is some stunning Spalted Alder from South Wales and features some light chambering.This is my seventh build with @true_temperament frets, my first one was built way back in 2015! I’m a big fan of this feature - it produces excellent intonation right across the fretboard and gives the guitar a super pure sound.
For the pickups in this one we have the Cream T Cream of the Crop set for classic Les Paul like tones. These have been specified with the zebra coils to tie in nicely with the colours of the two woods used on this build.
To keep within the theme, these pics were taken by an ancient oak tree at least 800 years old!
